Will some banks start their 2025 SA recruiting in May-August?... Or are we past that era?

I know that many banks are starting their 2025 SA recruiting now (applications are open at RBC, Roth, Gugg, etc)... Do you think there will still be a good handful of banks that start the process in May-August? GPA took a bit of a hit this past semester, and I could really use this next semester to bring it back up. Thanks for the input.

Ah, the ever-changing tides of SA recruiting! Based on the most helpful WSO content, it's not uncommon for banks to have varying timelines. While some may start early, others could indeed kick off their recruiting process in the May-August window. Here's a bit of historical color for you:

  • In the past, some banks like Moelis and Evercore have started their recruiting processes as early as April and May, respectively.
  • Other big names like Citi, Credit Suisse, JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs, BAML, and Barclays have been known to recruit in the Summer/Fall period.

So, if you're looking to buff up that GPA, you might just be in luck. There's a chance that some banks will still be in the game during the May-August period. Keep an eye out, stay connected, and maybe use the upcoming semester to your advantage. And remember, a well-timed networking push can sometimes make up for a GPA that's had a bit of a tumble. Keep swinging, champ!
