William Blair Financial Sponsors

Does anyone have any insights on William Blair's financial sponsor's group (comp, experience, etc.)? There isn't much information about them on this forum and they are a relatively small group compared to FSG at other banks.

Former analyst there. I had to transition out. There was no modeling, and it was an uphill battle to get out. Glad I made the move to a smaller boutique that does modeling. Its not investment banking. MDs were workaholics. A nightmare. Never again...

Hi, I have an interview with them and was wondering if you mind sharing your comp?

it’s not banking. you just do admin for the senior bankers in the group and they don’t source deals or execute just manage relationships with sponsors. most of the analysts in the group are former executive assistants or worked in IR or comms if that tells you anything (not a dig on those jobs but a statement to what they’re doing)
