IB is going to be tough but let me just share the most common gripe that I hear about Muslims and Ramadan at the workplace in general. Please don't take this the wrong way but just want to give you some brutal honesty that might be helpful.

Most reasonable employers understand religious beliefs and are ok with someone taking it easier during Ramadan or taking days off.  Where people get really pissed is when Muslim employees take a bunch of days off for Ramadan, but then they also want a bunch of days off around Christmas because the kids / family is out of school etc. So, if you're a Christian co-worker, you feel like you're covering for them during Ramadan, but they don't have your back at Christmas. It pisses people off.

If I was Muslim, I would try to fix this imbalance. Ask for some more leeway or time off for Ramadan but volunteer to work your ass off around Christmas so that everyone else can get a break.

Muslim background. This is totally reasonable. Never thought of it that way so thanks for the perspective.

Though in my professional career (in US) I have NEVER asked an employer to give me any special treatment/leeway during Ramadan. Like at the very max it has come up with my junior colleagues and they’ve just been curious about it rather than me asking for any privelages.

I didn’t even know it was a thing for employees to bring up.

It's generally worked out ok for me as Ramadan has coincided with periods of downtime (divine intervention I like to think). I usually try do a one-on one-off type schedule where one day I'll finish just before Iftaar/ Futoor time and log off early and then the next day break my fast in the office and just grind it out. I also take the last week off in the run-up to Eid which makes it 3 weeks.

I've historically not tried to make a fuss of Ramadan as most colleagues won't even know what it is but no harm having the conversation. I suppose best to be upfront to the staffer rather than them finding out via declining performance etc..

I think WfH will definitely help since you can take necessary breaks from your desk to nap, pray etc.

Good luck in any case though, if my experience is anything to go by it tends to be fine.
