WSO resume template still gold standard?

I'm asking because every time I upload my CV on an application, the information is messed up on the next page and I have to retype it manually, so I'm concerned about it being not readable by ATS's and automatically rejected.

The WSO resume template is indeed considered the gold standard for investment banking resumes, particularly because it adheres to the formatting preferences of the industry. It's designed to be visually appealing and easy to read for recruiters who often have to sift through a large volume of applications.

However, your concern about the template's compatibility with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) is valid. While the WSO template is highly optimized for human reviewers, some elements might not be as easily parsed by ATS software. This could be due to complex formatting or the use of headers and footers which some ATS systems might struggle to interpret correctly.

To ensure your resume is both ATS-friendly and appealing to human recruiters, consider the following adjustments: 1. Simplify Formatting: Use a standard font like Arial or Times New Roman and avoid headers and footers. Keep the layout simple and straightforward. 2. Keyword Optimization: Make sure your resume contains keywords from the job description. ATS systems often scan for specific terms related to the job. 3. PDF Format: If the application system allows, submit your resume as a PDF to preserve the formatting.

If you're experiencing issues with the template when uploading to online platforms, it might be worth creating a simpler version for those applications while maintaining a more visually appealing version for direct submissions or networking opportunities.
