3.6 v 3.61 v 3.605

So I graduated with a 3.605 GPA, I've always listed 3.6, but should I change it to 3.61? I'm thinking that putting it out that extra decimal point shows that you are on the lower end of a 3.6, where as if you put 3.6, you could be a 3.64 maybe even a 3.69 (but who rounds down?)....

When my GPA was 3.81, I threw on the extra .1 to signal that I wasn't rounding a 3.72 up or anything.

helpmepleasethxNot sure what you mean by footnote it, I assume you're joking,

If you go the extra decimal do you write:

3.61/4.0

or

3.61/4.00

Always match the decimal place. If you write 3.5/4.0, that is correct (and will likely have people assuming you are the 3.46 kid rounding up to look better). If you write 3.5/4.00 and do not have 3.5 on the dot, you are lying; the level of specificity given by the hundredths place in the denominator that you ignored by only going to the tenths place to round up is not accurate. If you write 3.61/4.0, that's equally inane. Make your decimals match. If you have a 3.575, you could either write: 3.6/4.0 3.58/4.00 3.575/4.000 3.575 (because people know that going out to the thousandths place indicates no rounding on your part; typically people with 3.9+ do this to show how close they are to 4.0)
I am permanently behind on PMs, it's not personal.
