Breaking into finance world
I am 23 year old pursuing Masters in Data Science with focus in Econometrics in New York (no target school) with Bachelor’s in business administration. I have pretty advanced knowledge in market, investing and accounting. I did not do any internships in finance world, have two main projects in my resume: DCF valuation model in Python and Windows desktop app, that connects to live data from yahoo finance, and updates info about your portfolio in real time, sends you notifications based on chosen stocks and price points, as well as has AI chat bot that allows you to alter your portfolio by chatting with it and can give you tips based on some basic analysis. What jobs could I start applying for in finance/banking world ?
Probably any entry level role in IB/S&T/asset management and even sales (thought I doubt that’s an interest for you), etc. as long as you swing your story accordingly and can express passion for said product/sector/market
Honestly my area of interest are IB and risk management.
Will blogging be a good way to start ?
