C 's- > A’s How would bankers perceive my GPA

Hello All,

I am sure that you have seen these posts a million times, but I want some advice from professionals. In my freshman year at a target university I got lost in the high of being at school and playing varsity sports that I had a really poor year academically believe I finished with around a 2.9 pretty much all C’s with maybe 2 A’s out of 10 courses. Since then I have had almost straight A’s with one B-. I was able to get A and A+ in my two finance courses. An A+ in economics and a variety of A’s in other courses. My GPA has increased to a 3.3 and I am taking two summer courses hoping to move it towards 3.4.

Will bankers look at my progress as a positive and think less about my poor first year? Will I not get interviews? If you saw my resume with this what would you think? should I instead of posting a GPA place “Relevant course work”: 2 Finance courses and economics, all A/A+? How much will this GPA haunt me in recruiting and my first couple jobs in the industry?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
