Careers in Finance with better WL balance?

Title.

Came to the conclusion recently, that IB is not for me in the long run.

What are other careers in finance with a better work life balance (say 50-60h average, mostly free weekends) and still decent comp (maybe similar base at junior level, lower bonus).

If the work would be more rewarding and intellectually stimulating that would be a big plus.

Cheers!

IEveryone will at some point in their career desire for a better work/life balance. Front office/Big 4 can have long work hours. I know that the back office/middle office gets downplayed here. If you seek a better work/life balance, and have given up on the prestige of the front office, you can always consider roles in Risk, Compliance, Project Management. At the end of the day, what matters is as long as you enjoy the work.
