Chances of getting a NYC S&T Internship with a 3.4 GPA from Non-Target/Non-Diversity?
Hello everyone, I would really like to ask anyone out there who has already obtained a Sales & Trading internship at either a Bulge Bracket, Middle Market, or Boutique firm? I started off my college career as an engineer so my cumulative is not as high as a typical finance major student may go in recruiting as. However, I have been able to aggressively recover to a 3.4 and would like to know if anyone has made it before: Getting a Sales & Trading internship in New York City. I have a very strong network and have had several super days but have not landed an offer yet.
Please let me know if there is anyone out there who has been able to accomplish this challenge. Recruiting has been tough. Thank you.
If you're landing Superdays, you have a chance. Once you're at the Superday stage, things are mostly normalized and honestly, if you overperform as a non-target you'll have an edge over the target candidates.
pretty easy tbh. Kids from my non-target school with 3.4 GPA breaks in all the time. Interviews are all behavioral. Just keep networking and it's guaranteed you'll land something!
Network and you should get something. Maybe try and see if you can get feedback from any of your superday interviewers. Like someone said above, if you're getting superdays then your resume is competitive enough and it pretty much comes down to a combo of fit and numbers game at that point.
