Choosing between sophomore summer internships - How important is name recognition

I'm choosing between an internship in venture capital and an internship in private equity (data science) as a current sophomore looking to go into investment banking next year as a junior. I think I would definitely find the venture capital internship more interesting and more appealing long term (it is focused on company/market research and due dilligence) but it is at a relatively new and small (aka unknown) early seed venture fund. The other is at a much larger firm (stepstone group) and is more analytical - data science and modeling in excel and python, which is more supportive/back office-esque work.

My question is basically, how important is it for an internship to be a more recognizable name? Which experience sounds like it would be a stronger resume point for junior year recruiting, and which one would you take?
