Based on the most helpful WSO content, networking is key to connecting with others who have had a similar experience. Start by reaching out to alumni from your community college who have made it into investment banking. You can find these individuals through LinkedIn or your school's alumni network. Additionally, participating in finance-related forums like Wall Street Oasis can also be beneficial. You can share your story and ask for advice or insights from others who have had a similar journey. Remember, many have walked this path before you and they can provide valuable guidance and support.

Same opportunities as someone who started elsewhere - network, get internships, and prep for interviews.

The one challenge is being late to recruitment

I just noticed that people who did go to CC don't include it on their LinkedIn, so it makes it almost impossible for me to find others in the industry who took this route. Being a transfer myself, I find it unfortunate how we often miss out on the timeline. I wish there could be an SEO program specifically for transfers and that banks would offer special privileges for us, similar to diversity programs.

Agreed it's a challenge and would love to see opportunities for those that went the CC path (many I know are grinders and couldn't afford a 4 year school).

Keep attacking networking from your current school. If you stay at it, things will work out.

There's someone I know of that went to community college that did GS soph SA and then is going to PJT RSSG. If you are a diversity candidate it is definitely feasible. However, if you're not diversity I reccomend transfering to a community college and then extending your graduation by a year so you can network more effectively.
