Do FT offers get rescinded?

Hey guys,

Incoming FT LMM M&A analyst here in my senior year, will be starting in summer. News of layoffs has got me worried. Curious if anyone knows how incoming FT offers have been treated in past recessions?

Do they ever get rescinded? If they do, what type of firm/to what degree?

I appreciate any advice here as I'm sure many others out there are a bit anxious about the same topic as I am.

Although, maybe we are overthinking this.

Thanks
