Are you asking if an associate/VP with a CFA/MBA gets higher comp than an associate/VP without a CFA/MBA?

In which case the answer is no.

If you're asking if you become an associate/VP by getting an MBA/CFA, the answer is also generally no. But it depends what industry you're in...

Also you realise an executive MBA is for people with substantial experience right. Not someone who is looking at associate jobs...

Yeah true but i don’t want to leave my Job to pursue an MBA

thats why Columbia , MIT and Wharton from the Top tier Colleges offer Executive MBAs for people who have less than 8 years of experience as a fellow candidate with tuition cost being cut by 50%

But as VP or Principle, Doesn’t a CFA or EMBA affect your comp or bonus?

Not gonna repeat myself. You don't command any change in comp for a CFA or MBA. Your performance affects your comp.

In a couple years I'll be a charterholder and you know what's gonna happen to my comp? Nothing. Management couldn't give less of a shit. But you know why I'm taking it? Because that CFA might eventually allow me to go work somewhere else.

Also the idea of an EMBA with less than 8 years experience makes absolutely no sense. Maybe you're talking about a normal MBA.

Hello there,

Most EMBAS are for people with 15 years of experience. Generally, they would not fit in the typical post MBA recruitment process. MBAs, especially before 30 (avg EMBAs have a very different profile and 38/40 on average).

CFA in IB has little value added, and this is coming from someone who sat multiple levels while working in Corporate Finance / IB.

Generally as was said above, there is no additional comp for this, just jobs accessible with people having a CPA/ACA/CFA or not. Then between these jobs and others there may be a compensation differential but it is not clear at all.

Hope this helps.
