Doubt about career - lost, helpless, or just not seeing it through

This is my first post here, so if I've posted it in the wrong section, please kindly move it to the appropriate one. I'm seeking career advice and any form of assistance I can receive.

I was born in south america and received my education there. Additionally, I hold Spanish nationality.

I initially completed an undergraduate degree in Economics at a non-target school from the ages of 18 to 22. Subsequently, I obtained another undergraduate degree in Business Management at a target university in my country, from ages 23 to 27.

During my final year at university (undergoing the business undergrad program), I interned at an European Bank FICC trading desk. However, I was only able to secure a middle-office position, which wasn't aligned with my long-term career aspirations. This spanned from January 2017 to June 2019, encompassing both positions.

As a result, I made the decision to leave the bank and began pursuing a career in corporate finance/IB/PE.

My initial experience in M&A began at a local company focused on turnaround and M&A in September 2019. I spent 15 months there, starting as an analyst and progressing to a Senior Analyst role. Then, I joined another local boutique firm as an associate for 18 months. Subsequently, I transitioned to a more renowned boutique, where I worked as an associate for an additional 7 months. These boutique firms primarily focused on lower-end middle-market deals, typically ranging from USD 10 million to USD 60 million.

I became disillusioned with the working culture in my country, where being hung up on during calls and receiving derogatory comments, even in front of clients, was not uncommon. Moreover, the compensation in these environments left much to be desired, and the long working hours took a toll. Although I led a comfortable life, I couldn't help but feel inadequate compared to classmates who were earning US$200,000 annually, which is a lot for my country.

It was particularly frustrating because I knew I had performed well academically but missed out on an opportunity to work as a trader, and my friends who are fine were not that smart back at Uni.

Recently, I relocated to Spain and secured a Analyst position at an advisory firm specialized in M&A and project finance. However, I find myself missing the chance to have worked at an investment bank or a bulge-bracket firm.

My ultimate life goal is to secure a position at a prestigious and well-regarded institution where I can build a fulfilling and successful career.

In summary, I have nearly 4 years of M&A experience in the middle market, strong financial modeling skills, the ability to create marketing materials (teaser, CIM), and the capability to independently manage M&A deals from start to the point where negotiations intensify and more senior involvement is necessary.

However, I was born in 1991, making me 32 years old.

My main objective is to secure a well-compensated position in Europe, and I am willing to work long hours to achieve this.

Coming from a disadvantaged background, money weighs heavily in my decision-making process.

Due to financial constraints, pursuing an MBA is not feasible at the moment.

However, I am considering a master's degree in finance at a Spanish public university like UC3M. Would this enhance my chances of obtaining an associate position at a bulge-bracket (BB) firm? Alternatively, is the CFA a viable option to improve my odds?

In short, I would greatly appreciate any advice anyone can provide. What would you do in my shoes?

Thanks guys!
