Freshmen summer internships

I currently have 2 offers for a summer internship, one from a wealth management investment management division from a small firm ~4B aum as well as an offer from a larger company in a B2B sales division doing corporate finance/accounting.

The problem is the pwm role pays ~75% as much as the other one and is only 30 hours a week compared to a full 40 hours a week.

I was wondering if there was a large enough difference in value on a resume to justify taking the pay and hours cut. For reference I am hoping to get an in IB internship next summer or the summer after that.

Do the most relevant experience honestly. In this case, that might be PWM. However, if the corpfin role is with a bigger name brand and the projects you’ll get will be more technical, that could be good too. I don’t see either going the wrong way, but maybe if you want more free time in the summer the 30 hour role will be better. Just don’t think too much about the comp, hourly they appear to be the same, ask yourself what kind of work you prefer and how much work you prefer. If you want the most relevant experience, PWM seems the way to go. If you want more work, and hone in on technical/accounting skills more then go with the other offer. Maybe factor in any COL/location differences as well.
