GS Background Check Question (Experienced Hire)
I have been in the work force for about 3 years, so when I submitted my resume to GS, I did not list my GPA. I'm now going through the background check process where the firm is asking for my grades. Would the offer be rescinded for a low GPA? Thank you.
Are you wondering if you should lie about your gpa? The answer is no. Might they reject you for a low gpa? Yes. If it's not for IBD, you shouldn't worry.
No, I wouldn't lie and the position is not for IBD. The topic of grades never came up during the interview and because I have been working for several years, I didnt include my gpa on my resume. Just wondering if I'll get a call saying that I'll be rejected because my gpa wasn't outstanding.
No, if the person hiring you cared, they'd have asked you. Unless you had a 1.0 or something. Then they might be worried.
No. Background checks are not to see if you're qualified or not. It's more of a check the box legal and risk thing.
