How is everyone studying technicals (for summer '26)???

Rising sophomore and have been doing a little everyday this summer to prepare for interviews, which apparently kick off in October for the EB's. As far as studying technicals go, I have only been using the 400q guide and really trying to develop a conceptual understanding for each question, youtube, and trying to actually build out models in excel (3SM, DCF, Comps tables, etc). My questions are:

- Aside from the 400q guide and youtube, what other resources should we be using to study technicals?

- If I have a full understanding of all of the technical topics in the guide, should I be able to think through most questions given in interviews?

Also, I am very interested in RX, and hope to try and land some interviews with RX groups. I know those interviews tend to be highly technical and also focus a ton on credit. That being said:

- what resources should I use to prepare for RX interviews? I plan on reading Moyer all the way through but what else is there for ppl to prepare for them?

Thanks

EB interviews start in October? Where did you hear that? January at the earliest for most standard processes.

So... EBs interviewed and hired in Feb/March last year with BBs being March/April - not sure what you mean by BBs are "sticking to January". I think some buyside stuff (P72, BX, KKR, CAP) will go in January, but not really a concern for 99% of people (don't have the background to get an interview).

HL announced that they are opening applications Oct 15. They probs wont start interviewing until later but still good to be ready when they open

restructuringinterviews for RX, especially if you’re American.

Covers basically every question they could ever ask, as well as basically every concept that exists within the space - best £20 I ever spent probably.

Yes, definetly worth the purchase. However, with how competitive it is now for rx I’d say that is the table stakes. Need to be really in tune with rx news, so read Petition for example, be able to at a very deep level explain certain transactions etc.

Agreed. Also, I wanted to add that the single biggest thing that matters, especially in small groups like RX, is FIT/being personable. You can study all you want, but many kids get rejected even if they get every technical right.

It almost feels like getting an offer is about things that you can't change in a matter of months. Honestly, if someone is actually interested in RX, it shouldn't be a problem to pass the techs in interviews anyway, so that's something to think about when applying.
