How many emails should I be sending out?

title sums it up

For context - am a Sophomore at solid non-target and am not diverse. I have a Sophomore IB SA for 2024 (solid name, not a BB) but only networked a bit before my superday so don't have too much exposure.

How many emails should I be targeting during the tues-thurs window each week? How long should this take out of my day? Any tips for speeding this up while personalizing the messages? I usually just add a sentence saying something like "I want to learn more about why you switched from x firm" to show I at least looked at their LinkedIN.

Thanks all

Start w your alumni network first. Pepper anyone in there as fast as you can. There isn’t a magic number of emails per day - focus on finding great warm contacts first and send as many of those as you can.

Be polite, just say I saw you in the alum directory, would love any advice you have. Alums esp at semitargets love doing these calls.

As a sophomore w IB internship you are ahead of the game and should get a lot of traction w your alums and also generally for banking. Make sure your resume mentions you did comps and dcf work etc.
