Is it cooked? Do I pivot?

I am a current sophomore at a school in the Boston area with a CS/Finance major. I have a upcoming internship at a PE firm with more then ~190bn AUM. I have pretty good on campus experience. My issue is my gpa ~3.3. I know this puts me in a pretty bad position and since a lot of SA 27 recruiting is done. I have a few possible ideas about which way to move forward but thought it would be better to get advice on here

  1. Add another sem and recruit for SA 28
  2. Pray I get a good Summer internship for 27 and possibly FT recruit.
  3. Work at a Credit Rating Agency straight out of college then try to lateral
  4. Open to any ideas/thoughts

is it possible to get up to 3.5 by the time recruiting starts? Would probably help a lot. The PE internship will look good on the resume too, hopefully even if an 2027 doesn't work out for IB you'd at least be able to get some more interview experience and even more time to network which should at least help your odds a bit. You already mentioned recruiting straight to FT as an option, this would require a relevant 2027 internship (small boutique, F500 corporate finance, another buyside shop, etc) - you'd hopefully also have the time to move up your gpa. All that to say, you're not cooked until you decide you're cooked.
