JPMorgan - Job Status "Active" And I'm "Under Consideration" But In Limbo Now One Week After Interview

This was the first round of interview done via Skype, during which the interviewers asked if I would be open to the idea of completing a written assignment as a next step (I said yes), a week has passed but I haven't heard back since. Could this be a case of it being interviewed for in the first round still, or something else? Also to mention the recruiter is on holidays when I tried to e-mail. I'm really uneasy about reaching out to the interviewers directly so was hoping to get an answer here.

How did it go?

I've had the same experience with J.P Morgan where I too was in "limbo". However, they got back to me after about 3 weeks and the interview process proceeded from there. I ended up in the top 2 candidates but the more qualified applicant resulted in getting the offer.

The recruiter should've told you he/she was going on vacation though.
