Junior Year HF Internship?

This is probably a batshit stupid question but here goes: I was supposed to intern at a decent HF this summer (of my sophomore year) but the COVID-19 situation in NYC threw a wrench in it, and they extended me an offer for next summer, my junior year. I want to break into IB, but the only thing I have going for me is networking (no freshman internship). Should I accept the offer? I wanted to bag an internship at a shop where I'd get hired but these people don't want a scrappy undergrad. Thoughts? Would an HF internship junior year leave me in good shape for post-graduate prospects?

I ended up interviewing for a bunch of sell-side research roles & ended up taking one at a BB. I realized that's what I want to do anyway so I might as well start off with some job security out of one of those programs, rather than rock the high-risk high-reward path of going to an HF junior year (they maybe would have taken me as a trading assistant afterward but that wasn't a lock). I still want to hop over to the buy-side at some point but I really just wanted the job security. That said, if you go HF & they don't sauce you an offer then it still looks great on the resume.
