Need some help here...

Hello everyone,

I am in a situation that I hope is not all too uncommon - I would like to get into trading but have no experience. I recently got my bachelors is in political science, and I have no business experience. I also went to a non-target school. So basically, I'm starting off from scratch. Is it still possible for me to somehow get into Sales and Trading? If not directly, can I segue into the field - maybe as a stockbroker or something? Also, where can I take additional courses beyond my bachelors to learn more about the industry? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

It would be a long shot to break in right now. You have nothing in the way of marketable skills other than a recent desire to enter trading and you will be competing for VERY competitive jobs against those with vastly superior and relevant resumes. Why would anyone want to hire you? Your only real hope, and it's not a great one, is to network like crazy and find someone who likes you and is willing to give you a chance. Other than that, as a recent graduate, getting into a top MBA is a long shot so you might consider a MSF from a good school. Search the boards, this question has been asked and answered a hundred times.
