Omitting GPA On Online Application
So I have a pretty decent job, but looking to get out eventually. I have been applying online, but the issue is that my GPA is very low. I have been doing online applications and given my experience and skills, I do have a decent resume. The only issue is that I omit my GPA. Do banks and other firms have strict guidelines when it comes to looking for GPA on resumes or will they ignore GPA if experience is relevant? Anyone have any experience with dealing with something like this?
GPA is a screening criteria. You need to list it. Leaving it off still indicates it's bad, so there's no point in doing so.
It will come out at the background check as well.
omitting it shows you can not man up to your mistakes..... which is an attribute financial firms look for.
online applications are useless. if you omit your GPA from your resume than you can be sure you won't get pass the screening process unless you have a sophomore summer at GS
GPA should not be omitted. There may be the rare instances where a recruiter may not notice it, but that is a Haley Comet situation. More attention is brought to your GPA not being on resume and you omitting it. List Major GPA to soften reaction to your Cumulative GPA.
Apply without GPA included? (Originally Posted: 12/26/2013)

Apply without mentioning.
Don't mention it. Do better next semester and next year and it won't be a prob. The fact that you're a freshman is what's gonna get you dinged when applying right now anyway. Not your gpa.
