Question About Salaries (Not Personal)
Is there generally more money involved in dealing with higher risk securities in finance related jobs.
For example, would someone who works with junk bonds make more money than someone who works with AAA corporate bonds or UST bonds/bills?
Would someone who works with common equity earn more than someone who works with preferred equity?
I ask because I know people who work in hedge funds make more than anyone else in general, and hedge funds are the riskiest.
The reasons for which hedge funds are the "riskiest" has nothing to do with the TYPE of securities they trade.
no, it's related to how much you make for your firm, not what you trade. so if you can make 50mm trading preferred's you will make more than if you make 3mm trading high yield
