The most painful season of IB recruiting has arrived for fellow juniors. I was wondering how many of you have actually received any offers from BB's for an SA position, particularly on the west coast.
Just wondering where everybody is currently at and best of luck to all.
First rounds at the end of the month.
West coast non-target here.
Have interviews next month with one MM, and two boutiques for IBD. Will start a winter/spring intern position at a major west-coast AM firm in two weeks.
Which firms if you don't mind me asking?
SA= Summer Analyst?

I will give you three like firms for each category
MM = Greif / Imperial Capital / Mosaic
Boutique = Barman Cap / Duncan Williams / B.Riley & Co.
AM= Blackrock / PIMCO / BNY Mellon
B. Riley is a pretty sizable firm- put them in the MM space. Also only do unpaid internships FYI

West coast schools that have OCR wont start til later this month. the OP here either has an offer or is just jumping the gun to star the thread. BBs have necessarily started interviews yet. MMs (or the respectable ones at least- Jefferies, Houlihan, Guggenheim, HW etc.) will do it the same time as well. Elite boutiques (Moelis, Lazard, Evercore etc.) generally do it the same time as BBs while no-name boutiques are all over the place.

Non-target here: currently finalizing my final BB app and still waiting to hear back for a 1st round from the rest
2 MM offers, but I decided to go for consulting instead.
interviewing with MS next week, UBS tomorrow, Jefferies , macquarie, blackrock, and barclays towards the end of the month. if i dont get one ill die.
im a shitty interviewer i need more to get one lol

top BBs likely selected all their kids for interviews by now. it was earlier here (east coast target) than it was last year. resume drop was dec 2 as opposed to jan 22 (for 2012 SA)
Top target here; virtually all of the banks have a resume drop deadline on Jan 16 (not counting the accelerated rounds).
Agreed, at my target nearly every big bulge bracket's resume deadline is on the 16th/17th. A few (like Citi) are due the week after.
although target deadlines are later this month, my guess is most non-target deadlines have already passed.
Can anyone confirm this? I was talking to a few of my connects at BBs and they had no idea that deadlines would be this early this year...
