Should I feel behind for not completing my SIE yet?

Orientation starts next week and I'm new to the industry. I've been studying for the SIE but feel that im behind others-considering taking it during orientation since I feel like it's doable. Am I overthinking/rushing it for now reason? We only received our study materials 2 weeks ago.

Would recommend you try to study as much as you can before orientation starts. Most banks even encourage bankers to take the SIE before training begins. Not because its an extremely difficult exam, but its an annoying and time consuming exam to study for, and if for some reason you fail, you need to wait a month to retake it. This will impact your progress preparing for the other licensing exams which are a bit more difficult than the SIE.

It's not a difficult exam but its a lot to study and memorize, especially if you're new to the industry. You'll hate yourself for having to waste a nice summer night inside studying rules for opening a brokerage account or some random Investment Act in 1933.
