Career Resources
trust me, youre just being a worry wart. ive been at home for a while (my school starts monday) and ive been going through every thing that was said in some of my interviews to try and get some inkling of whats going to happen. theres not much you can do but wait, because honestly its very tough to tell unless you got an offer right after, or it was obvious you bombed it.
Yeah thats what I figured. I'm just so anxious and ready to move onto my next part of my career. The HR Manager emailed me and said she would have an "updated" for me on Monday. The Director I interviewed with told me they were going to move quickly on making a hire and I was the last person to interview.
I also sent them thank you emails after my interview. I didn't receive a reply, so I'm hoping they received them. But I suspect most people don't get a reply to thank you emails.
If security had threw you out, you probably didn't get the job.
At some companies, they will tell candidates to leave if they don't make it to the next interview. Obviously making it to the end doesn't guarantee anything but...other cues include, if they say they will let you know quite early (this might tell you whether you're in the waitlist or not), and later on in update phone calls they might mention your interviewers' feedback.
I just got an offer this past Friday, and I honestly thought I was not going to get the job. On my 2nd round, I interviewed with 2 senior managers and a partner. I wrote a thank you e-mail and no one responded. I was like no response=no interest. NOT! My point is that being concerned about all these + or - cues is waste of your life. Your time is better spent doing whatever you need to do now.
offer letter is usually a good indicator that you got the job...
