T. Rowe Price Investment Fellowship Program

Guys,

I'm a senior Math/Econ major w/ a 3.6 GPA and am interviewing w/ this company for this role. What kind of exit ops can I expect at the conclusion of the required 2 years? Will I be able to move into IBanking or will I be confined to S&T? Also, how "prestigious" would you consider this firm?

Thanks for any insight.

Not too sure on what the program entails I did know someone that did a summer there in ER. Trowe is a different culture from the banks your exit opportunities could be to equity research, hedge fund analyst, trader at mutual fund/hedge fund.

I cant imagine you would really want to change over to ibanking after this. If you are a trader at a firm like that you ARE the client so you have all the Banks catering to your needs.

leaving TROW is harder than it sounds, especially if you're trying to get to NYC. make friends with your brokers if you can, that's you're ticket out.

Are you motivated out of a desire to succeed or a fear of failure?

Among people in the industry T. Rowe Price is considered very prestigious. Source is second year analyst at GS NRG IBD. I imagine you won't have any issues exiting to another public markets role or business school. As for exiting to investment banking... T. Rowe Price is a place that people in IBD hope to be able to exit to, not the other way around.

When did you interview for this? I was scheduled for the phone interview last week but due to some reasons, I will having the 1st round interview with an HR at the LARC (a liberal arts conference) in Boston this Friday. I would love to hear your advices on how to pass the HR screening. I suppose there will be a lot of behavioral question and why you, why this program..??

Hello,
I am having an upcoming interview with the company for this Investment Fellowship Program. Anyone has any ideas about this? And what should I prepare for the first round. I know I have to know about stock pitch and not sure how aggressive/knowledgeable I have to be? I have little experience with investing.

Thank you

You don't need a stock pitch. First round on the phone is completely just HR screening, no technicals. You don't even need a stock pitch for second round. The only technicals you would get are statistics/quantitative questions/brainteasers.

You can take this to the bank.

Thank you for the information! It helps a lot. SO basically the 1st round will be behavioral. For some reasons, I have been not doing so well with behavioral and technical interviews work a lot better for me. ANy advice on how I can fix it?

What kinda of background are they looking for. I assume they like very quant people with math backgrounds. This applies to me but it is my major and math/econ is always easier for me than other subjects, but will they like people with a background in music and dance as well? Will it hurts if I mentioned my experiences in arts?
