Unhappy in Analyst Program
I'm currently part of an analyst program (not IB) at a BB. Couple months in, I'm realizing I don't enjoy my work at all although I have it down. I know I'm lucky to be where I'm at being a non-target, but I don't want to be in a role where I'm not happy for another year. My plan is to stick it out until March or April where I would only leave the program if I have an offer from consulting firms I plan to apply to.
My questions are:
1) Would I even get any interviews once they see I would only be in my current role for less than a year? I did work at another bank for 2 1/2 years straight through college so I'm not a wanderer between companies. I'm aiming towards Big 4 Consulting/ Accenture. I graduated from a non-target with a 3.56 so nothing stellar but my work experience was what got me through the door because I interviewed with every Big 4 except EY and several firms during college.
2) Can I still apply as a recent graduate next year during March/ April rather than experienced hires? I know companies are past recruiting time now or it should be ending by this month. Can I still apply for SUMMER/FALL '16 during March/April?
3) Does anyone know if these analyst programs are contractual for the 2/3 years? I don't see anything in my offer stating that but just making sure.

I'm assuming you are in some sort of back office role at your BB. My advice is keep networking and applying. Best case scenario you get another offer. Worst case, you work for another year, save up some money and have a better chance of getting an outside offer. Chances are, you won't be looked at until you have a year of experience as most companies will be wondering why are you leaving your current company so soon (better have a good explanation besides "I didn't like it").
Getting interviews can be tough as larger firms follow a strict recruiting schedule and most will be looking at entry level candidates from campus recruiting events. I would try going to a boutique consulting firm or get a year of experience and apply as an experienced hire.
Analyze why you don't like your current job, why you took if it you don't like it and find out what you truly want before you start firing your resume in all directions just to get out of your current job.
