Wrong mail address on application form
My browser auto-filled my job application with the wrong email address. It's still my email, but it's not my professional one (e.g., [email protected]). Instead, it filled in an email like [email protected]—something similar but not in the standard "name.surname" format.
To give a concrete example, if John Doe used [email protected] instead of [email protected], it would be like my situation.
The email I used isn't cringy or unprofessional, but I’m concerned it might not make the best impression.
Am I screwed, or should I do something about it?
Should I contact HR to change my mail?
I am not sure if this is a troll post. That's how ridiculous I think the concern is (I'm sorry but if this is genuine I hope it's some relief).
I've never noticed an applicant's email address. Life is way too short.
The only scenario where there might be a risk is if you had a truly stupid or offensive (suckmydick@...) personal email. Don't worry
That's not a troll post, but completely understand where you are coming from. I think this fear might stem from conviction that it may indicate lack of attention to detail, not well-perceived in IB
Nevertheless, thanks man for replying to my question! Appreciate your point!
