9-9-Nein: Herman Cain is out
You all have probably seen this, but the inevitable happened: Herman Cain pulled out of the race.

We all could have guessed that the Godfather's pizza CEO would not be the next president when he entered the race, but the sexual harassment allegations kind of sealed the deal.
I am interested in what this means for the rest of the primary candidates. Cain was the only somewhat radical figure who registered on the polls. It was enough to frame shift the debate to tax reform and restructuring the government.
Now that he's out, I am predicting Romney will be able to dictate the issues up for debate, limiting them to the tired hot-button political issues (immigration, national security, gay rights, etc.).
Have we lost the only chance we had for meaningful tax and entitlement reforms? Cain was not going to be elected, but his presence at least made such reforms fair topics for debate.
We still got Ron Paul the guy who has a real tax reform position, not some bullshit marketing catch phrase he got from Sim City.
Ron Paul = best candidate.
I'm not concerned about him losing elections in 2012. The reality is that Ron Paul will be the grandfather of the libertarian movement a decade or two from now... when my generation will rule this country.
Do we? He has been saying this stuff for years, but it hasn't exactly caused much debate. Even the democrats recognize this:

So because he's been written off by the media, so should we?
