Best platform to rant about topics of interest (finance, behavioral economics, etc.)
Although I have a pretty solid social life (granted, I go to a non-target, so discount the value of any social life I have accordingly), I have few outlets to really get deep into topics of interest of mine, including finance, investing, philosophy, psychology, macroeconomics, and behavioral economics. For a long time I've kept a journal that I jot down notes, topics of interest, observations, etc.
I've been thinking about starting some sort of page, like an Instagram or Twitter, just to let ramble about things I find interesting. I think there's other people out there who'd be interested in the types of stuff I'd be commenting on. Any recs on what the best platform would be to do that? Is Twitter good for stuff like that? Never used Twitter before but suspect it might be the most in line with the style I'm looking for. Thanks!
This is a pretty decent place for that sort of thing, and we’ve got a lot of thoughtful people. Why don’t you jot something down for us over the next few days? It’ll probably be a fun discussion. Cheers
Good point, I can start throwing stuff in the off topic forum once I put together some coherent thoughts that are more than just phrases or fragmented thought experiments, thanks Kelly.

interesting comment. I may start posting some of the articles from my Substack here and then linking back to the article if that is allowed, my only concern with that is that it would get no bumped for self promotion even if it is interesting content
I think you overestimate the caliber of my intellect, many of my thoughts are just jumbled rambles of fragmented ideas segueing into each other

It depends what you're going for. If it's just fun and no other considerations, then yes just post on here. Would love to read your stuff.
However, note that the Terms of Service on WSO are pretty terrible. Basically, everything that you write on here is property of Wall Street Oasis.
Secondly and related to that, I recently published my own book, and I wanted to post about it on WSO. The platform has not been supportive and has made sure that any post with a link to my book cannot be refreshed by new comments or upranked by bananas.
So, if it's just for fun, keep posting here. If you're mostly interested in the fun part but think you might want to monetize your followers at some point in the future, then absolutely go with another platform.
