Budget for Dating as an Incoming Analyst 1 in nyc

Curious to see how people are budgeting for dates. I'm currently single, just graduated in Dec from college, from a blue-collar family, and planning to move to NYC coming fall for IB analyst role. After maxing out my 401k and Roth IRA, plus covering rent and other expenses, it sounds like I'll have around grand a month for personal use (I hope I'm calculating this right).

I’m trying to avoid borrowing money from my parents (if anything, I’d rather send a little cash back home) and was thinking about investing what little’s left over so I have a personal investment account outside of retirement savings. I really want to get my finances compounding early on so I can build actually wealth and climb the social ladder. Reach for the highest stars kind of thing haha.

Dates in nyc are I hear notoriously expensive in general, esp with many girls expecting to be taken to nice places (maybe not, but just my impression of most ppl in 20s generally male or female). Of course, the first date or two can be cheap coffee/boba dates, but what about afterwards? Is it possible to actually save while having enough to go on dates? And how often do you even go on dates to try to make it official given you're always working so much?

Probably a stupid question for many, but would appreciate thoughts. Thx
