Cheap ways to improve diet?

It's no secret the time demands of this career path forces one to sustain themself on fast food.

How do I not shit liquid? I can't even sit at my desk for an hour without anguishing over the volatile bowel movements that seemingly never end.

Don't get me started on the infinite poop glitch.

Fast and Fiduciary

on Sundays I put some chicken breast in an air fryer and put some rice in a rice cooker and live off bland chicken and rice. It's very depressing but I like to think I'm in good shape and it's cheap

Hot sauce is key and increases your metabolism.

Consult a dietician, get blood work done first so you know the nutrition needs are met first. From there you can create a plan.

No pain no game.

Dieticians are often covered by insurance, and blood work should definitely be free through your insurance.

Although if your post is not joking, you should start with a GI doctor. Unless you're eating nails there are probably other causes than diet for your GI issues

Just buy a ton of shit in bulk - that's about it. Lots of ways to make pasta and potatoes tasty and healthy. Eggs are a friend. Personal favorite of mine is cottage cheese too.

You should have a meal comp'd at dinner which makes it all the easier to eat cheap

Bro please listen to me: I used to eat like absolute shit and was a fat fuck. This changed my life:

I bought an air fryer and disposable baskets so that I don’t have to clean up after.

All you need are eggs, frozen veggies (carrots, corn, peas, green beans variety, chicken breast (40 min cook time) or chicken thighs ( 25 min cook time), and rice.

So easy to make.

When you wake up, first thing you wanna do is pop your chicken in the air fryer on the preset chicken setting and leave. While it cools go poop, shower and get ready for work. Once your done your chicken should be ready.

Step 2 (old rice is best for fried rice) : Make 2 fried eggs, add your rice and frozen veggies and mix for 2 minutes. When your done, add it all with your chicken and a Tupperware and you are ready to go.

Easiest meal ever, and the only thing you have to clean afterwards is the pan.

Very easy to meal prep too if you don’t think you have time in the mornings or afternoon.

This is what I eat everyday, with a little BBQ sauce obviously.

Trust bro I’m putting you on

For the rice, you can make as much as you want. I usually make enough for 3-4 days.

Alaska pollock is a high protein, low mercury fish that you can buy frozen very cheaply. Just put it in a pan with olive oil for 5 minutes, turn it and leave for another 5 minutes and done. Add some seasoning (the shake on kind) and some bag salad (nothing wrong with it) and you have a cheap, healthy meal in 15 minutes with minimal clean up (just the plate and pan). I do this for dinner pretty much every night I don't go out.

You need some fiber in your diet, and probiotics (like greek yogurt) would help as well.

Everyday before work, make yourself a green smoothie with a bunch of spinach, frozen fruit (strawberries, blueberries, etc, you pick), some greek yogurt, some protein powder, and a blending liquid like milk, almond milk, oat milk, etc. Make that everyday before work. Make sure you stuff that thing with as much spinach or other green as you can so you can get all the fiber you need. You'll start feeling a lot better trust me.

The fiber will help give you more solid bowel movements and the greek yogurt (for probiotics) is very good for your gut health. Lots of oil from fast food is not good for your gut health so you need some fiber and probiotics to balance it out.

While it would be better to just eat an overall more healthy balanced diet, I know how demanding work can get and you don't have time to meal prep and have to eat fast food. At least getting this smoothie in once a day will help balance things out. 80 / 20 rule remember!

Incorporate more fruit.

Depends on the fruit but some are cheaper than fast food (e.g., one banana is like $0.50). They are high in nutritional value but low in calories, so it would take a fuck ton of fruit to equal the number of calories that are in a fast food meal.

A lot of fruits have fiber too so they will give you healthier shits.

Vegetables are good too and not that expensive. You can buy a frozen bag of broccoli for like $2.50.
