If you're legit trying to date and have a relationship, it's not a big deal. Just don't let it get around the office too soon, then it gets in everyone's head.

If you're just trying to "get it in", I suggest looking elsewhere. The risk isn't worth the reward career wise.

If it gets serious, just make sure to report it earlier rather than later. Also, people will find out, even if you think you are good at hiding it. Worked with a couple before, they thought they were good at hiding their relationship, one slip and everyone starts to put the pieces together.

I mean, if you don't play would you rather in your head at least once a day at work, are you really working?

I think it is generally advised against to co-mingle career and romance. If the office romance went sour it can have an impact on you, professionally. If you change job, your office romance, assuming which started on the premise of close proximity to the girl(convinence) may end.

You call the shots.

Its generally appreciated by legal precedence to first pass her a note with “do you like me?” with boxes for “yes” or “no”. Also, I would always inform your boss of all of your dating plans. Its completely appropriate. Good luck.
