Pre Trump I’ve been a Republican, mostly voting republican just because I really believed in a smaller government and more fiscal responsibility (not that they’ve done that in hindsight). I’m not even a liberal. I’m a moderate. Just because I don’t support Trump and heavily disagree with most of his supporters doesn’t mean I’m a far left liberal either.

Who do you think has been influencing Americans lately? Frankly, both sides. Just look at the FBI charts on hate crimes since Trump was elected (especially the dramatic spike in those targeted at Jewish people). Not saying he’s the only bad guy here, but it’s not a one way street.

I'm aware. My post was half sarcastic. A huge number of those elements are key ingredients for a successfull society... anywhere. Sure you can replace Christianity with Confucianism and change a bit of other flavours with relatively small impacts but hard word? Clear and linear thinking? Family structure? Objectivity?
