I was diagnosed with stenosis and ddd when I was 17, then "better" by 23/24ish, as in no longer in crippling chronic pain and able to workout again etc.
Glad I avoided surgery and waited it out, as long term outcomes with surgery for my conditions are not good.
Cant do anything high impact still, but doesnt bug me too much. Just grateful not to have the horrible daily chronic pain from that condition.
Why the heck are people tossing shit at this? It's up there as one of the most painful causes of chronic back pain there is.

No, but I have this habit where I throw my head back to crack my neck. I think it's really satisfying but looks really quite odd.
I crack my neck and back all the time too, but not like that haha
"If you always put limits on everything you do, physical or anything else, it will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them." - Bruce Lee
Right now I have neck and upper back pain as a result of slouching in a chair for long periods of time + too soft of a mattress, and not optimal pillows. Overall posture has gotten worse since graduating and I keep wanting to crack back.
Wondering if a chiro could help improve this stuff long term/ or if this is something expensive (maybe covered by insurance?)
Surely others must have had similar concerns and curious if anyone has any suggestions or experiences?

Try a few physiotherapists out. It took me a few to find one that was great

May be better off following whatever the surgeon did recommend
I saw 3 surgeons. Two recommended I wait, and 1 said to do it.
Nothing is black and white with most health conditions lol. Google "long term outcomes of laminectomy"

How else are you meant to crack the back of your neck

Yh, more of physiotherapists—chiropractors are like a pseudoscience
