Negroni’s: Some standard gin (Hendricks, Beefeater), Campari, and Antica Formula sweet vermouth (much better than Dolin and Martini in my opinion). Keep the vermouth in the fridge.

Very impressive bar cart. I usually drink whiskey with an ice cube or beer but I’ve been really into Irish coffees and other drinks with Bailey’s recently.

Dirty Martini

Hot damn, the Del Maguey looking jooocy. Bit too smokey for my taste, but certainly a very interesting experience.

True to my handle, most of my favourite cocktails are sweet or tropical. Great ones are:

  • Margarita. The one and only, a true classic. Endless variants, endless choices with tequilas. Might be the one drink I'll never get tired of.
  • Perfect Martini. Not so common these days, but I find the sweetness and spice of the Rosso balances out the harshness of some gins. Also great with tonic.
  • Manhattan. Classic, easy, very drinkable. An allrounder for all seasons.
  • Caipirinha. With the right cachaca it's like the heavens themselves mixed you a drink. If you ever find your way to Bahia, try one with cashew juice. That's right, cashew has a fruit! The Brazilians truly know how to live life.
  • Tiki drinks. Too many too count, difficult to make, but simply amazing.

I like Long Island Iced teas as well. Will get you f’ed up quickly.

Very first drink I ever ordered was a Long Island lmfao. Gad no idea what I was doing and knew that was a drink

This is a pro move - elevates even a simple G&T by adding a splash of purple and the flavor is really nice in that it's not overly botanical. Empress with the Fever Tree Light tonic water is a total hit every time.

You need to try a Gin Pomada. Local concoction from the island, Menorca. The mix is simply Mahon Gin and Lemon Fanta. Lemon Fanta can be hard to find in the states tho

Blueberry Stoli and Ginger Ale somehow go together quite well.

Old school. Rob Roy using a good Scotch Whisky. Maybe morphed into a Bobby Burns as needed.

I admit, it's so old school that I've had to explain to a handful of bartenders before about what the f**** the drink actually is and how to make one. Then again, some of the best bartenders I've ever patronised give me one of those nods of "this guy knows what's up and I'm gonna make him the best proper gentleman's drink ever."

I, too, am a fan of the classic Margarita. There's nothing like the refreshing combination of Cointreau, fresh lime, and tequila.

Recently discovered a love for three other cocktails:

  • Whiskey Sour - so versatile! With eggs, without, with cane/maple/fruit syrup, with Ango or not, truly a fun classic
  • White Lady - the more accessible Margarita. Gin instead of tequila makes it smoother and more "ordinary", but quite delightful
  • French Pearl - a one-two punch of Barbados and the Provence. It's basically a Mojito with Pernod added, which gives the mint an amazing sweet and herbal kick. The bartender was quite proud of it, apparently.

I might actually become an alcoholic it those keep tasting so good, hot damn.
