Who gave you the info that your feet should be closer with driver than a 7? Doesn't seem right to me… imo the driver swing should be fundamentally different because the ball is on a tee and thus your angle of attack should be positive. Whereas with a 7, it should be negative.

Look at videos of Rory/ Tiger hitting driver. Their shoulders (from a face on view) will have a slight tilt upwards to promote the upwards strike. That's a key set up factor.

And yes, swing will change for different trajectories and ball flights

It all depends on where you draw the line for the same (and how your swing looks to begin with). Except for the "bigger" movement, I would personally say that the biggest difference is that you want to hit the ball up with your driver (meaning slightly after the clubhead's lowest point in the swing), while you want to hit the ball before the grass with a 7I (before the clubhead's lowest point in the swing). This is the reason for putting the golfball closer to your left foot in the stance (assuming that you are right-handed).

When it comes to the curve, yes it does. However, there are a few different ways to generate spin... But I personally like to think about it like this: the ball will travel in the direction of the swing path and curve based on the club face. Basically, if you swing it straight but with an open club face (for instance I tend to push my wrist forward in the beginning), you will get a slice.

There are of course an infinite amount of tiny differences and techniques, but this is what I am currently focusing on with my swing.

Agreed on this. The fade/draw is why I'm trying to get my grip more neutral - it's been strong for a decade plus and it's darn hard to break. Generally I can get away with foot alignment, left foot back and hold the right there - can encourage me to come across the ball and get a fade. Not sure that's the science/most logical method - but works half the time, with the other half ending somewhere between fine and a disaster.
