I envy your position. If I could do it all over again I'd work at a Chick-fil-a while getting my college degree and angle for a franchise opportunity. Or I'd apprentice in plumbing or as an electrician and work the business angle to start a larger firm. So many alternative routes I wish I knew about when I was 19. When I was 19 I thought people could be accountants or accountants.
sad part is that the program which I was rejected from was about accounting.
Good. That's liberating.
I say this as a person with an MS in Accountancy.
I was an apprentice in the past. Got laid off. Then got a degree. Now? $$$ profit.
Chin up, you'll be fine. Stay motivated
Thanks, mate
I've had probably close to 30 rejections... to win you must learn and to learn you must lose
Thanks
pain + reflection = progress
(I'm going through notes I keep on this stuff so these quotes are at forefront of my headspace atm)
Rookie numbers. Lol
you have much more to do than the chumps that got in. read a bunch of books and plan your next moves, etc. utilize your flexible hours.
Thanks
If I typed up all the rejections I have received in my life, whether they were regarding the job or elsewhere, I could publish a book.
That is strong
In banking (or, frankly, in life) you need thick skin and teflon shoulders. Nothing negative ever sticks, it doesn't matter. Someone could give you a rejection, but you honestly move on until you have something you like.
That, really, is the only way. You will see that rejections ultimately build character in you.
I’ve gotten rejected over 1000 times. You only need 1 acceptance.
True, thanks
You failed. You couldn’t make the cutoff. Reflect on why you failed and improve on that area.
Thanks
I've seen you around the site, and I've heard good things about you. It seems to me that you've got a good head on your shoulders; don't let anyone tell you that you're not good enough. Just keep trying your very hardest to show them all that you can do.
In the words of Sir Frederick Henry Royce, co-founder of Rolls-Royce Limited, "Strive for perfection in everything you do; take the best that exists and make it better."
If you keep cranking and trying your very hardest, you will take the best that exists and you'll show them it can be better. Godspeed, my friend, and the best of luck.
