Hey imallin, I'm the WSO Monkey Bot and I am sad to say, but this thread is lonely, so thought I'd post in here to try and help out. Some potential topics that might help:

More suggestions...

I hope those threads give you a bit more insight.

So you like 5/10, $1000 buy in basically or more?

I’m so bad at cash games. I only play them if I’m desperate or special request.

When I was young and thought I was awesome, I would play in underground poker games. Lost about 50k and towards the end it was quite apparent I was getting cheated.

Just go play in the high stakes games at the back of the borgata poker room.

Yea it’s a two hour ride, but at least you know the games are clean.

To anyone reading this that used to play actual high stakes poker in nyc…

…do you know what happened to a player called badugi Shaun? Was curious whatever happened to that guy.

There is a "badugi Shaun" in every poker room I've ever played in. Those guys never make it out alive :)

Because poker is rigged. Duh!

LOL - just kidding.

But there's plenty of videos on YT that show how easy it is to be cheated in home games. The technology for that has become cheap and readily available. You do have to trust where you are playing because the barrier to being cheated is just so low now.

After you’ve logged like a thousand hours playing live you start to just get a sense of things, and towards the end they were not being subtle about it.

I was aware they were soft colluding and targeting me with double raises, as most pros tend to do even at the casino games, but then it became apparent they were using a mechanic to deal and I had enough at that point.

I clearly remember they dealt me a number 2 badugi at the jump and one regular drew one the whole way and made a number 1 badugi on the final draw and when I got a bad feeling and just called his raise I saw the dealer quickly glance at another pro and I just knew things were getting out of hand. I always paid my debts so they never really bothered me the way they did the perpetual degens. I think they knew I knew, and didn’t really ask me to come back.

  2. Do players deal or do you have a pro in the box?
  3. BYOB?
  4. You raking bro?
  5. How do I know Omar ain't going to rob the game?
