Kevin Roose

Like many of you, I got to see Kevin Roose at the WSO conference moderating the exit-ops panel. He wrote an article summarizing his view of the discussion:

He may strech the truth a little bit in order to support his argument:

What seems different today is that even the most basic assumptions of Wall Street careerism — that buy-side is better than sell-side, that front-office is better than middle-office, that bulge-bracket banks are better than boutiques — have come into question.

I think its safe to say that most people favor the buy-side over the sell-side, and front-office over middle-office. Nonetheless, its an interesting article.

As far as Wall Street culture commentary goes, I like his stuff even better than Dealbreaker. Even if the comments aren't quite as good.
