American Psycho Margin Call Wall Street
Breaking Bad Better Call Saul
Love Breaking Bad just finished it. Gonna start watching Better Call Saul heard that is good too. Have you watched the movie that is supposed to follow Breaking Bad?
I am a huge Breaking Bad/BCS fan, even traveled to Albuquerque to do the entire tourist thing (went to every filming location).
The show is one of the most creative, ingenious creations of our days. Plus New Mexico is a beautiful state.
The movie is also good, however you would need a very good understanding of the initial BB show, including all details in order to understand the "finale".
Absolutely love Margin Call. Such a simple yet important movie. Both board room scenes are awesome. Heard they shot the whole thing in 17 days or something too.
Money Heist is my favorite show on Netflix
If you haven’t seen ozark definitely check it out
If you like animated shows, love death and robots was a fun ride. It’s like an animated black mirror
if you understand Japanese- Ushijima the loan shark. pretty interesting funny dark Japanese drama. Thank me later!
In this vein I have to recommend Tekashi Miike and Takeshi Kitano films. Stuff like Ichi the Killer, Audition, Visitor Q, and Outrage are fascinating, exciting, & intense. They’re all a really fun watch.
There Will Be Blood. For years I put off watching it, and it was a mistake.
Why did you like it? A close friend recommended it as his favorite. I usually align with some of his tastes but damn I did not enjoy the movie at all.
Was it just the guy getting his wealth and going crazy? The odd storyline with the son?
Daniel Day Lewis's performance is undeniably good. The cinematography is great. The score/original soundtrack is so good I almost consider it to be one of the main characters (for anyone who cares the soundtrack was made by Johnny Greenwood of Radiohead - I fucking hate Radiohead).
I always thought it would be a long drawn out drama but it's definitely the opposite. I found every minute enthralling. It's interesting to see the main character's struggle along his pursuit. Until the end of the movie I could not figure out if he was a good or bad person.
Also, Paul Thomas Anderson is an incredible director. Who the fuck would think that the same person made Boogie Nights, Punch Drunk Love, and There Will Be Blood? Tarantino said that Blood (2007) inspired him to "up his game" when making Inglorious Basterds (2009). He definitely lost that particular game.
One of my favorite dramatic films ever. This and No Country for Old Men are really impressive.
One of my all time favorite movies.
Few have watched it, truly underrated
Peaky fookin Blinders
Comedy/Leisurely Watch Shows:

These are pretty much the shows I've watched or am watching. Some other shows I have watched or am planning to are Community, Workaholics, Ballers, Homeland, Trailer Park Boys, Silicon Valley, Rick and Morty.
TPB spin offs (Out of The Parks, movies, etc.) are also worth the watch if you're a fan of the original
I'll add The Man in the High Castle on Amazon Prime to that list
Did it get better after the first season? The production value was great but the acting was so bad I couldn’t go through with it.
Definitely recommend Silicon Valley (HBO Go)
Silicon Valley was the best. Thinking of starting it all over again

The Wire. It's on HBO Now, Hulu, and Prime.
A new trailer just dropped for the next James Bond movie and and I'm so hyped for this. Ana de Armas is so hot. Let's gooooo
On Netflix:
Shot Caller - Entertaining story of a stockbroker that goes to jail for a DUI and then becomes an SS leader and completly changes his life. Obvious plotholes but its whatever.
The Midnight Gospel: Kind of a weird cartoon show, if you like Rick and Morty you'd probably like it. "A space caster traverses trippy worlds inside his universe simulator, exploring existential questions about life, death and everything in between."
Dallas Buyers Club: Incredible McConaughey movie
Don’t Look Up

A bit different but if you are into historical/long dramas, there is a Turkish show on netflix that is absolutely fantastic called Reserrecution: Ertugrul. About the guy who was the father of Osman I who started the Ottoman empire. Great great show but it is very long and very dense. 5 seasons each with a 100 episodes each. Took me around a year to finish. But was well worth it and you can always rewatch.
Go-to shows are Succession, Cobra Kai, Seinfeld, Ted Lasso.
For fans of British TV, I highly recommend Broadchurch. Truly amazing show.
