My VP is a Raging C*$#.

I would throw up 25% of my salary for one good solid slap across her face with no legal repercussions.
Menopause maybe? Either way, she's a power hunger, micro-managing bitch.
MO BB AM. Been there almost 2 years.
I think I'm almost out though. Been working as a consultant on the side for a small M&A shop. I finished an IPO fairness opinion/litigation today so hopefully there's an offer in the near future.
End rant.

I have a BILF. Is she a BILF?

When a plumber from Hoboken tells you he has a good feeling about a reverse iron condor spread on the Japanese Yen, you really have no choice. If you don’t do it to him, somebody else surely will. -Eddie B.

She's fit, but far from attractive. She was a, self proclaimed, track star in college. She had me break a very large report into two different reports in Q3 last year, which was no simple task. She informed me yesterday that I'll need to start working them back into one for Q2 this year.

In my youth, I once left what would have otherwise been my dream job over a total itch-be of a female supervisor. Working with her was nearly unbearable. Turns out that the grass isn't always greener on the other side. The bosses at my next company were much better, but the work was mindless and I was bored out of my mind. At least a witch of a boss will keep you entertained.

Hey - I'm sure you piss her off as much as she pisses you off. And she'd be happy to get you off her deals.

Go above her head gently to your staffer, or if you don't have a staffer, to a more senior person and just straight up say "hey, I'm having a lot of trouble with x and I'd prefer not to work with her anymore." Be an adult about it. If you don't have anyone that will go to bat for you if you present it like that, then guess what buddy - the problem ain't her - it's you.

I don't think this is good advice - the worst thing to do in banking is to talk about someone behind their back. They'll definitely find out, and you'll just be thought of as a tattle-tale and untrustworthy.

I'm sure there are threads about this, just do a quick search for advice. I think the point of OP's thread was to rant, not to seek advice - otherwise, there are multiple threads on this.

Saying you'd prefer not to work with someone in a mature manner is not talking shit behind their back. And I don't know what world you live in, but in banking all people do is talk behind each others' backs. Shit is straight cloak and dagger.

UPDATE: Put in my two weeks and my last day was Friday. Medusa didn't take it well... Sadly undramatic though. She didn't hardly speak to me during the 2 week period except through messenger to make sure that I worked 80 and 76 hour weeks.

On my way out, I handed her my Blackberry and remote access key and gave her a wink.
