Private Bathrooms
Anyone else have private bathrooms (PB) in their office? I've never once valued an office building but I've got to believe PBs are the biggest driver of rent psf of all amenities.
Something about taking a shit 2 feet away from someone else is unsettling, and the private bathroom on my floor is an oasis of freedom of expression, sometimes I'll even take off all of my clothes before painting the porcelain.
This in my mind is a more important perk than free lunches, great WLB or even carry/promote - I could live in a PB if it wasn't pre-occupied so much of the time by other big-brained folks.
Office developers (if you exist) - I highly recommend programming more PBs per floor (PBPF) if you're struggling to pencil rn.
Based on the highest ranked content on WSO, private bathrooms (PBs) are indeed a valued amenity in office buildings. They provide a sense of privacy and comfort that many employees appreciate. Here are some key points from the discussion:

There's 1 private bathroom in my office, but there's an unwritten rule that you don't go in unless you're a C-suite executive.
I even see VPs walk across the office to go to the stall bathroom instead of going to the private bathroom when the private is right next to their office (This is a F500 so VPs are very senior- 40s, make 400k+ TC, etc...).
I don't blame you because somehow EVERY investment bank bathroom I have ever been in is fucking disgusting even compared to production facilities/warehouses.
Like...by a factor of 4x. Not even close. It's as if everyone at the bank shits 7x a day and has declared warfare on their janitor.
Man could not agree more. It's spacious and you have it all to yourself. Interviewed at a place that shares their bathroom with another firm (they have half a floor), no private bathroom. That made me sad
So, PB stands for Private Bathroom now, not private banking
