Reading books more than once?
Do you guys read books more than once? If so, how do you go about it each time?
Myself, the first time I go through everything pretty quickly and mentally jot down the main themes/ideas. Now that I have a big picture understanding of what's important, the second time around I take notes on these main themes/ideas as well as some of the important details.
What are your guys' thoughts on this? Should you read something more than once to truly get a lot out of it?
I do see the value in it. However, I have never actually been able to go through with it.
I've easily read the market wizards book more than 5 times cover to cover (and a few individual chapters many more times). The same goes for reminiscences of a stock operator and inside the house of money books. Usually read books that I find insightful more than once.
