Interested to see whether the more experienced brahs prefer in or out of finance. A chick earning a similar paycheck would be great.

At the same time, after a long day in the office I don’t know if I’d want to go home to the qualities that make someone successful in banking

While I'm only in college, all the girls I've ever been with or been interested in have been in non-business fields such as journalism, poli sci, etc...

Despite that, every single girl I am friends with is in business/economics. I guess in terms of friends, I'm attracted to people who are just like me, but for a relationship, I seem to want someone different.

Smart, passionate about something else than just luxury/fashion, enjoys nice things but doesn’t need to blow money, enjoys her work, good looking and enjoys working out+outdoor sports (ie surfing, skiing, hiking).

I don’t care about her parents and where she comes from. I hope she doesn’t like me because of my parents either, but rather because of who I am.

Educated, early 20s, likes to travel, preferably blond with green, grey or blue eyes. She has a cat or wants one, and is keen to settle down within 5-8 years. No junkies, tattoo addicts, piercings in face, etc

Hot, prioritizes health, clever, good conversationalist, good work ethic, self aware

Intelligence is 80% heritable, and character/ work ethic is 70%. Make sure you’d be cool with your kids turning out like your partner (including a son being as curious/ driven as she is)

Curious, what’s the ideal professional for your dream girl to have? A lot of you mentioned you want someone in a similar income range. But a lot of people don’t to date busy women who work as much as you do. A lot of you also don’t want to date finance girl.

The girl I'm dating right now is perfect.

Smart, has a decent job, aligns on values, pretty, etc...

Most importantly, she is the opposite of me and deals with all the stuff I hate doing which has made my life a lot less stressful.

She also understands the nature of my work and knows that I don't have a ton of free time.

FWIW I think asking yourself if the person you're dating destresses your life is really important. They should be someone that makes things easier and more enjoyable. I think this is something most people don't take into consideration enough, especially if you are working a ton of hours in a high stress environment. That last thing you want to do is come home to some diva that thinks you are working at Dunkin donuts.

Everybody is being generic as I expected - you all want the perfect package, I get it.

I think the OP is looking for some celebrities. I say Laura Marano, Peyton List, Danny Trejo, Miranda Cosgrove, Liz Gillies, Debby Ryan, Kira Kosarin

Don't judge me

Yes, that's a joke...

Oh, the plethora of names I could add to this list! We should create a separate thread on it but that would be quite creepy....

I'm trying to say this in the nicest way as possible, but why is your list of dream celebrities comprised of actresses from the Disney Channel and Nickelodeon?

And yes, I know that this is a late post. I get it.

I'm looking for something different. Most girls bore me. They're all the same, mostly uninteresting and basic humor. Hard to find someone that really stands out much.

If you keep holding on to this view, you will never get me married.

"Mike Bloomberg" Bro she's hot

Yeah - I don't typically believe in true 'dimes' or a 10.0 because no one is perfect. But, she is pretty damn close.

while dating I made sure I was dating girls not in finance. Just wanted to be with someone with other professional interests and broaden our conversations and perspectives, without getting into each other's throats by any disagreement. Also was boring discussing finance stuff on your leisure time. Other than this, i have a weakness for redheads (somebody mentioned freckels above?) and green/blue/gray eyes, lovely smile and fun. Cherry on the cake are nice legs, but dated various sorts, not only them. Didn't care about wealth or background (money, education, country/race, religion, politics) as long as the person was good/real/worth it. If you want to get serious: I truly believe core principles and values need to be aligned, and personality/intelligence trumps looks on the long run.

Ha ha, absolutely correct, it is not a common combo. Probably something the geneticists of late 21st centruy will aim to collage (terrible thought!). I was referring to my time dating, aka a long time ago, and just mentioning my weakness/preference, not saying that it's a must have for me.
More importantly, when recalling those times, the most fondly memories are of the girls who were fun, positive and constructive. The last sentence summarises it succintly. Age/time changes some of your preferences or priorities, and you discover certain traits (and virtues) more important than others.

And yes, the missus ticks most, if not all boxes (and more ;-), so I am a lucky one.

LOL

Never discuss with idiots, first they drag you at their level, then they beat you with experience.

Honestly just someone who likes me for who I am and is passionate about her interests. Doesn't have to be finance. Could really be anything, as long as she enjoys it. Obviously I would hope she is pretty. Preferably blonde, but there is obviously a ton of wiggle room. Just needs to be someone I can party with, talk with, chill with, do interesting stuff with, etc. It's not really that hard. She would need to be fucking ironclad to put up with my stupidity and bitchiness though.

Dayman?

No dream girl —

However, I am convinced that I’ve met the man of my dreams...

6’5 Height Athletic Build (Former Football and Soccer Player) Southern Gentleman Masculine, Well Groomed Sophisticated Prominent Family Background Conservative Values Philanthropic Well Rounded and Charismatic Sexually Dominant Conventionally Attractive

1.) I would prefer someone who has a Finance background with the trajectory and drive of an entrepreneur. (He currently works in PE.)

2.) He doesn’t have to be well-off, but at-least earn enough income to independently support our lifestyle after marriage, especially should we decide to have children.

LMAO, women with their long lists about ideal men. Men are like, "Attractive, nice, and, like, uhh, like, she likes music?"

Women are like, "He's got ride in on a white horse, his hair has to be flowing, he has to be top 1% tall, he has to have 3 master's degrees, a job that pays at least 3 times my salary, he needs to have a perfect jaw line, a perfect smile, he has to be confident but not arrogant, prideful but not full of pride, loving but masculine, tender but dominant. And that's just page 1." [And she ends up marrying a balding fat ass]

As previously mentioned — I am already well acquainted with my dream guy... therefore majority of these characteristics, are largely based on him.

I’m not sure why my answer triggered an emotional response from you. The title of the thread literally says “dream” which means, one can get as imaginative as they choose.

Your ‘bare minimum’ standards and insecurities, are not my responsibility.
