Would you inside trade if you don't get caught?
Hey guys! It's Mark again hanging up high from the ceiling,
I was wondering if you had the chance to inside trade for multimillions of dollars and not get caught would you do it? I have the chance to inside trade but i'm looking for your feedback and your opinion.
PMd, delete this Asap
If I'm not getting caught, then obviously
Yea, I agree these people can be excel monkeys, I rather work smarter not harder.
Most don't get caught, still a very real thing. I won't forget when I was on my phone at 3 am and got a CNBC notification about a major airbag recall on BMWs and the stock dropped well before the news came out.
Bingo, if I ever land in court I will use this.
I feel bad for the H1B stutter machines who are crunching excel 12 hours a day for $18/hour when they can put all the ND information they have access to work and they will have enough money for a lifetime.
Regardless of the act being morally dubious; my main issue is that it takes all of the fun out of investing.
I mean, the government has a Ponzi scheme running (social security) so I mean we're just along for the ride.
True, but who said you couldn't invest after you received your millions?
Absolutely.
BTW, +1 SB for the username and intro statement. Hilarious.
"Start buying Teldar Paper across the board, use the offshore accounts...and keep it quiet."
So badass!
.
I always trade INSIDE, that's where my DESK and COMPUTER are!
Does PSU have any sex dungeons? :)
Your mom's house does!
Would you sell drugs or be a paid assassin if you wouldn't be caught?
Is Insider Trading Morally Wrong? (Originally Posted: 08/22/2016)
This might sound stupid on the surface, but I don't think insider trading is morally wrong. The stock market isn't a zero-sum game where in order for there to be winners, there must be losers, right? If that's the case, isn't it a victimless crime? Now obviously I'd never do it if given the opportunity, because it is so not worth any jail time. But in terms of philosophy, am I in the wrong here?
No selling drugs is bad, I wont kill anybody.
There is a wealth of historical evidence to suggest that insider trading is not a victimless crime. Moreover, there's also ample evidence to suggest that insider trading produces suboptimal outcomes for the markets and the economy as a whole.
You could argue the victim is the market as a whole. Why would the average joe invest in the markets knowing professionals have info he'll never be able to obtain. Transparency of the markets is what keeps them viable. If you don't know why anything is trading the way it is, the risk far outweighs the reward.
Yeah agreed. Robbing a bank shouldn't really be considered morally wrong either, should it? I mean everyone's deposits are FDIC insured, right? Anyone foolish enough to keep over $250k in a bank account deserves to be punished anyhow.
Uh yeah... Is that even a question? lol.
FYI - I call your post BS... First, you wouldn't blatantly just post this shit on here and second, unless you're managing a large book, your couple thousands of dollars won't do damage.
$2000 will move a micro cap stock
