You either leave when you're still an analyst, or work long enough to become the 'pls fix' guy

So after a long time in more junior roles, I've reached the level of being the person who gives 'pls fix' type comments on presentations.

I'm not in IB or PE, but corporate finance/FP&A so no pitch books IM's, but still "the number on slide 3 does not match slide 8" and "we need to explain these figures or the board will have no idea what we're talking about" has become my everyday.

Its nice, I like it. But I also get the frustration that I'm sure many seniors saw in my work back in the day as well, where occasionally it feels like the juniors answer your question / request in the most narrow way possible, instead of putting a bit of thought themselves into what might be a better way or doing/presenting something.

How have others found it?
