I've seen a band 9 fail that looks a lot better than mine.. leading me to believe they failed me because my ethics was below a 50.. really sketched out

White collar, I wonder who was closer between us? I feel like if I went 7/12 in Ethics I was going to be put through... Its remarkable I scored higher in port mgt and Derivs than I did in ethics.. Switch my ethics score with my derivatives score and I probably go through.. which is ridiculous..

I saw a band 9 fail that it was easy to calculate his worst possible score.. he only failed AI and FI.. meaning assuming minimum of the rest of his ranges

Alt 0 6 0.0% Corp 7 12 58.3% Deriv 9 12 75.0% Econ 4 6 66.7% Equity 17 24 70.8% Ethics 9 12 75.0% FRA 17 24 70.8% FI 0 6 0.0% PM 9 12 75.0% Quant 4 6 66.7% Total 76 120 63.3%

Mind boggling he was band 9 I was band 10... just means I must have been in higher portions of my ranges and they screwed me cause of ethics

Level 2- pass. One and done

passed L1 with 2 weeks of studying

I thank the gods for going easy on me. Will NOT procrastinate on lvl 2. Might even re-study lvl 1 just in case.

There is no shame whatsoever on struggling with L2. It's a much tougher exam than L1. The problem with L2 is that CFAI is now interacting 3-4 different concepts per question (because of the vignette format) and testing the nuances of all of them. I could go further and share a bunch of IP koolaid about how CFAI defines knowledge for L2, but I am not looking to pick a fight on the exam in this thread.

Remember that the L2 exam averages about a 40% pass rate. The average candidate will take the exam 2.5 times before passing.

For the folks that passed how many are looking to use this as a springboard to make some moves?

Last year after passing L1 I got some looks for investing roles. Interested to see how everyone fares with their endeavors.

L1 pass. Not quite sure I want to go on to L2.
